Angela Koehler Walden

Angela Koehler Walden is a City Councilwoman representing the 5th Ward of Evansville and Secretary of the Vanderburgh County Republican Party. Outside of government Angela teaches 7th and 8th grade Spanish at Glenwood and Harwood Middle Schools, and is an Independent Sales Director for Mary Kay Cosmetics.
Angela was co-sponsor on the ordinance to ban smoking in city facilities, the ordinance to ban smoking in public places/workplaces, and an ordinance to regulate the protection of city trees. She currently serves on the Finance Committee, the Community Foundation, WNIN, Youth Leadership, and Government Consolidation Committees.
Angela first joined the City Council when she filled the term of father, David A Koehler, Sr., who died unexpectedly August 1, 1993. She was re-elected in 1995, 1999 and 2003, and served as Minority Leader from 1998-2002. Previously Ms. Walden worked as a Media Specialist at Tekoppel Elementary School and, prior to that, taught third grade students there.
Angela is a member and Sunday school teacher at Salem United Methodist Church. She is married to Scott A. Walden and together they have two children.
