Nicholas Hermann
Chairman, Vanderburgh County Republican Party
Nicholas Hermann is Chairman of the Vanderburgh County Republican Party. Mr. Hermann is an attorney practicing primarily in criminal and family law. He was the Republican nominee for Prosecuting Attorney in 2006 and formerly served as a Deputy Prosecutor for Vanderburgh County. Nicholas is also an adjunct faculty member at Ivy Tech Community College.
Nicholas and his wife, Gina Hermann, represent the sixth generation of his family to call Evansville home. Nicholas' family came to Evansville in the mid-1800's. The Hermann family started one of the first ten businesses in the City of Evansville when they opened Hermann's Candy Store on Main Street in Downtown Evansville.
Nicholas was raised in Evansville and attended Dexter Elementary School, Holy Rosary School, and is a graduate of Memorial High School. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from Ball State University and earned his law degree from the Indiana University School of Law - Indianapolis.
